#VacciNation is now Homebound

In their quest to get the nation vaccinated, the Houghton Masjid (West Street) launched a #VacciNation drive-thru in collaboration with Gauteng Provincial Department of Health and the Muslim Association of South Africa (MASA)

As an extension of the drive-thru facility, volunteer doctors and medics will now start attending to homebound residents.

Homebound persons include those that need the help of another person or medical equipment such as crutches, a walker, or a wheelchair to leave their home. It may also refer to a person whose medical provider believes that their health or illness could get worse if they leave their home, and they typically cannot move from their place of residence. It also includes frail individuals who cannot make a trip to be vaccinated due to their illness or disability.
